What A Great Year!

A
This year has been great and exactly what I had hoped it would be – maybe even better. Fractional CMO & Marketing has helped twice as many companies as the year before! The results our clients are reporting are phenomenal and make me very happy!

When we started the company five years ago, our goal was to give small and medium-sized companies a way to benefit from marketing expertise and services normally enjoyed only by much larger companies with considerable resources. We formulated an arrangement to provide affordable, high-quality marketing expertise on a part-time basis, hence the “fractional” in our name.

What we find most satisfying and rewarding is to see how our clients grow and develop. So far this year, our clients are experiencing 30%, 40%, and 50% growth in revenue. A few clients even doubled their year-over-year revenue, and we cannot be happier for them, or prouder of our contributions to their success. Fractional CMO & Marketing helps companies look and sound as good as they really are, plan and execute marketing programs, and we put them in front of more qualified prospects. In addition, we free business owners and managers to focus on what they do best in their respective expertise.

We also have grown and developed to benefit our clients even more. Not only have we doubled the number of clients we serve, we added more marketing professionals to our staff, and we introduced more marketing services to offer our clients more support than ever before.

I would also like to thank our clients – We have the best clients a company could ever ask for! And on a personal note, I would like to thank our staff. I consider myself extremely fortunate to work alongside a team of hard-working, immensely talented, and tremendously dedicated marketing professionals.

Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year to all!

5 of the Most Exceptional Holiday Marketing Campaigns Ever

By Ally Richmond, Staff Writer

Tis the season for holiday marketing campaigns! Every year, thousands of companies work hard to create holiday-themed marketing promotions and programs to entice consumers to purchase their products or services, often to give as gifts to friends and family members. There is a lot of competition this time of year, and businesses must be exceptionally creative in order to stand out. We’ve compiled a list of some of the most exceptional holiday marketing campaigns throughout the years and what makes each campaign so unique.

1. “Elf Yourself”
Office Depot’s annual “Elf Yourself” campaign allows users to go on the Office Depot website and upload photos of themselves and their friends to create elf characters that can dance to several different style songs. This fun and interactive experience brings users to the company’s site and indirectly helps promote the business.

2. “Nick Offerman’s Yule Log”
In 2015, Lagavulin, a Scottish malt whiskey company, hired actor Nick Offerman and created a humorous video parodying the classic burning yule log videos that many who do not have fireplaces in their homes are prone to watch around the holidays. This video has been viewed over 3-million times and has gotten the company lots of word-of-mouth publicity.

3. “#OptOutside”
Every year since 2015, outdoor gear company, REI, closes its doors on Black Friday, encouraging people to get outside in nature rather than get caught up in the commercialism of the season. This campaign, while seemingly counterintuitive, actually brings a lot of good exposure to REI, promoting its mission statement all along the way.

4. “Believe”
Macy’s helps donate to charity every year, while also promoting brand interaction and Christmas spirit. Customers can go to the Macy’s website and write a letter to Santa. For each letter submitted, Macy’s donates one dollar to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

5. “Santa Tracker”
Every year since 2004, Google has promoted its Maps features through its Santa Tracker program. Kids (and adults) can join in the Christmas festivities and see what Santa is up to in the weeks leading up to Christmas and track his sled on Christmas Eve. This campaign gets people using Google Maps and helps promote some good old-fashioned Christmas cheer!
